Remote connection with the International Space Station<\/h2>\n\n\n

The University of Wroc\u0142aw has been selected by the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) as one of two Polish universities that will conduct a live connection with the International Space Station (ISS). Our University has defeated multiple academic centres in prestigious eliminations, winning recognition for its involvement in science popularisation and educational activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Faculty of Physics and Astronomy is heavily involved in the implementation of this event that will take place in June and will be concluded with a 10-minute connection with the ISS during which pupils and students will ask questions to the Polish astronaut S\u0142awosz Uzna\u0144ski-Wi\u015bniewski, a member of the IGNIS mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The whole event will be held at the University of Wroc\u0142aw and will be enhanced by a full-day educational programme for children and youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exact date of the connection with the ISS has not been announced yet. The start of the IGNIS mission, initially planned for May 29th, has been rescheduled to June for technical and logistical reasons responsible for ensuring the operation\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is being predicted that the transmission will take place in the second or third week of June, provided that further delays will not occur.<\/p>\n\n\n
