We provide you with the basic training you need to carry out academic work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Among other things, on our programme you will:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 receive a thorough grounding in mathematics and the basics of physics and basic training in modern physics and information technology required for further study (e.g. Master&#8217;s degree in Physics) and carrying out academic work in physics or related sciences in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 acquire the skills sought after by employers that are characteristic of the natural sciences, including the ability to solve unusual problems, inquisitiveness and creativity, openness and flexibility, the ability to reason logically and a natural aptitude for learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 become familiar with the mathematical language of physical theories and the basic analytical and numerical computational methods used in them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 learn to model phenomena, understanding the the differences between physical phenomena and their mathematical models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 become familiar with the rules of conducting physical experiments, acquiring the ability to use basic measurement techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 gain a basic grounding in programming, information technology, and data analysis methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>On the Bachelor&#8217;s degree programme in Physics, by choosing different modules, you will be able to shape your development in line with your interests. You can:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 become familiar with modern experimental techniques and aquire skills necessary to operate equipment requiring knowledge of physics, as well as the ability to carry out measurements, analyse the results obtained, and use computers to control measuring equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 become familiar with modern information technologies and master computer skills to a much greater extent &#8211; you can learn to code fluently, use numerical and symbolic methods, analyse data and simulate the course of various processes on a computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 develop the ability to use advcanced mathematical methods applied in the exact and natural sciences, economics, or sociology, and with their help construct theoretical models suitable for describing the phenomena observed and predicting new effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also choose the econophysics specialisation where to the knowledge of physics and mathematics we add knowledge of economics, so that you can understand and interpret both environmental and socio-economical phenomena. In econophysics you will learn to use mathematical methods and information technologies also in economics and sociology, construct theoretical models and use numerical methods to describe and forecast financial and social processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the Bachelor&#8217;s degree programme in Physics you can prepare for a career as a physics teacher. During this course, you will be able to fulfil most of the requirements necessary to qualify as a physics teacher. To obtain this qualification, you must complete a Master\u2019s degree in Physics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Upon completing the Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Physics:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">you will be prepared to continue your studies and undertake academic and research work. This knowledge will allow you to understand, define and interpret various phenomena ocurring in nature. Your studies will largely consist of direct participation in scientific research conducted under the individual supervision of academic staff at the Institute of Experimental Physics or the Institute of Theoretical Physics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>On the Master\u2019s degree programme in Physics, you can choose one of four specialisations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 By choosing experimental physics you will specialise in the field of condensed matter physics, nanotechnology and materials physics. You will learn about modern experimental techniques, gain the skills gain the skills required to carry out laboratory-based research and design work, and to supervise the progress of various technological processes. You will acquire the skills needed to operate the equipment whose functioning requires a broad knowledge of physics. The acquired knowledge and skills will allow you to design and implement new methods for investigating physical properties of various materials, the operation and creative use of modern measuring and diagnostic equipment, as well as production quality control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 By studying theoretical physics you can explore the theory of fundamental interactions, elementary particles, or mathematical physics. You will learn to use advanced mathematical methods and statistical tools applied in the exact and natural sciences, economics, sociology, or medicine. You will be able to model phenomena, forecast new effects, use the suitable research techniques and analyse the results obtained. You will be able to become familiar with modern information technologies and learn to code efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 As part of the computational physics specialisation, you will gain skills at the intersection of physics and computer science. Besides learning advanced physics, mathematics and statistics, we will put a particular emphasis on your being able to code fluently. Consequently, using advanced numerical methods and simulation techniques, you will be able to analyse data and simulate the course of various processes on the computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Physics for teachers will prepare you and provide you with formal qualifications for a career as a physics teacher at all stages of school education. You will be able to aquire knowledge of physics and mathematics suitable for a teacher, taking into account selected areas of modern physics and its applications. You will also gain &#8211; in accordance with the requirements set by the Ministry of Education for candidates for the teaching profession &#8211; the necessary skills to carry out teaching and pastoral duties, including training in psychology and pedagogy. We will put emphasis on your being able to use information technologies and apply them in the teaching process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Upon completing the Master&#8217;s degree in Physics:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to a thorough education in physics and mathematics, you will be well prepared to undertake doctoral studies and carry out scientific and research work.
