RULES OF ENROLMENT
Form of recruitment procedure
Interview (stationary or remote)
Topics covered during the interview
An interview consisting of two parts assessed independently, each on a scale of 0 to 30 ranking points. In justified cases it is possible to conduct an interview remotely via a videoconferencing platform selected by the recruitment committee. In such case the candidate’s written consent to electronic recording of the interview is required. The first part of the interview concerns the master’s/bachelor’s thesis and other scientific achievements of the candidate. In this part the candidate is obliged to give a short presentation containing information about the thesis and showcasing the candidate’s other possible scientific achievements obtained during the studies (e.g. internships, publications, participation in research, grants, schools, conferences, scholarships and awards). The second part of the interview concerns the candidate’s research plans, general knowledge of physics/astronomy (depending on the chosen scientific discipline) and knowledge of important issues and discoveries directly related to the candidate’s possible previous research work and planned research. Knowledge of physics/astronomy will be assessed based on the candidate’s answers to the Recruitment Committee’s questions.
Evaluation criteria
Detailed evaluation criteria
The first part of the interview will assess, among other things, the level and substantive content of the master’s/bachelor’s thesis and the nature of any other scientific achievements obtained during the studies. The second part of the interview will assess the candidate’s general knowledge of physics/astronomy (depending on the chosen scientific discipline) and knowledge of important issues and discoveries directly related to the candidate’s possible previous research work and planned research.
