History
In 1945, the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry was established, which in 1995 was divided into two faculties: the Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics.
From the structure of the latter, in 1996 the institutes of Mathematics and Computer Science separated, creating the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.
After the aforementioned institutes separated, the former Faculty of Mathematics and Physics was renamed to: Faculty of Physics and Astronomy.
