Superconductivity in bcc high-entropy alloys
We are pleased to inform that a new review article by employees of our Institute: dr Piotr Sobota and dr hab. Rafał Idczak, prof UWr, as well as our PhD student mgr Bartosz Rusin was recently published in the journal Electronic Structure.
The subject of this work are high-entropy alloys (HEA) crystallizing in body-centred cubic (bcc) structure that have one of the highest critical parametrers among HEA superconductors, which makes them one of the most promising candidates for practical applications in this field.
The work focuses on comparing the results of experimental research and theoretical computer simulations of the aforementioned HEA and endeavours to explain differences between them on the ground of accuracy of research techniques as well as the nature of high-entropy compounds itself. It is another step towards a better theoretical description of superconducting HEA systems.
