61st Karpacz Winter School of Theoretical Physics

The 61st Winter School of Theoretical Physics will take place in Karpacz from 1 to 7 March 2025. The topic of this year’s School is:
Multi-messenger nuclear astrophysics in the 21st century
The School is jointly organized by the Institute of Theoretical Physics and the Institute of Astronomy, both of the University of Wrocław, the Helmholtz-Centre Dresden-Rossendorf (Germany), the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the Uppsala University (Sweden), and the German Center for Astrophysics in Görlitz (Germany)
The subjects of the 61st Winter School include:
- Explosive astrophysical phenomena – the physics of supernovae and neutron star mergers
- Astrophysical messengers – neutrinos, gravitational waves and gamma-ray
- Nuclear astrophysics experiments and theory
- Nucleosynthesis and galactic chemical evolution
- Metal poor stars and their observations
