“Magic widths” of phases
IEP paper on the cover of the journal Nanotechnology
In the January 2019 issue, the journal Nanotechnology highlighted a paper by our employees from IEP by putting it on the cover.
The work concerns the coexistence of two phases in the first layer of Au(100), one of which takes “magic widths” (the number of atomic rows) according to the formula (6n+1), where n is a natural number.
