Two-track course

The Astrophysics Master’s course is a two-track course, one track is focused on physics the other on astronomy. Both track share key common courses that are attended by students from both tracks. At the same time, more specialized courses are separate for physics- and astronomy-track students, which allows them to gain deeper knowledge in a particular field of study and research. For example, physics students are exposed to advanced topics such as quantum field theory and statistical physics of interacting systems, whereas astronomy students focus on models of stellar structure, evolution and pulsations, etc.
